This is the first act of the Pilgrimage of the Amindrel, the quest that begins one of several possible storylines available in Aetherlore. This storyline takes place in the region of Thalemir, a classic high fantasy setting that is one of six possible settings in total; this particular quest is the opening one for the Amindrel people, who are themselves one of four possible people from which to choose in Thalemir. Previous to this opening quest, the player will have created a character whose traits and equipment would impact later gameplay. This is a simplified version of how that would play out.
